The idea
Why Suggested, Serendipity, and the essentials exist — and what stays on this device.
How you arrive at a subject is not how you study it. Suggested and Serendipity are badges on cards, not a ranking of what is best. A lesson is the smallest useful body of knowledge.
There is no account. Suggested and Serendipity use only subjects you have already started on this device. The first lesson stays short on purpose: what someone needs in order to say they understand the fundamentals.
How to
Suggested answers “what else is nearby?” It spreads across fields, and does not suggest a subject you already started.
If you have not started anything, early suggestions lean toward business, people, and design — not a tech stack.
Serendipity is the heart: one subject you would not have reached by following Suggested. The pick stays the same for the day.
A lesson is the essentials first. Go deeper and sources are there when you want more — they are not forced onto the first page.
Progress, quiz sets, and custom cards stay in this browser. Clearing site data for Sumrized resets them. There is no cloud copy.
What you will see
- Badges on catalog cards, not a separate “for you” list.
- A short first lesson, then optional depth and sources.
- Continue on this device without signing in.
If you get stuck
- No Suggested yet: open any subject first. The catalog still works without it.
- Suggested is nearby, not a ranking. You choose what to study.
- Progress vanished: another browser, another device, or a window that does not keep site data.
